Overview
A yard that needs seed in spring, fertilizer in summer and ice melt in winter gets one handheld spreader for all of it. Speed and door settings change the spread rate, and an adjustable swath widens or narrows the pattern.
Year round use and many setting combinations make it flexible across materials.
Who it's for
Small to mid sized lawns, driveways and walks that need seasonal spreading fit this tool. Large acreage calls for a walk behind or tow behind broadcast spreader.
Pros and cons
- Works for seed, fertilizer, salt and ice melt
- Six speed settings
- Large tub for a handheld tool
- Battery and charger not included
- Handheld, so it covers less than a push spreader
- Battery runtime depends on the pack used
Performance notes
Spread rate is set by the two controls together, and the combination needed differs for seed, granular fertilizer and salt. The coverage figure per tub assumes specific settings and a compound fertilizer, so other materials will vary. Walking pace changes how evenly material lands.
