Overview
Circulating air at a desk or nightstand, this retro metal fan is a smaller version of the original Vornado look. It uses the brand's Vortex Action and a full-action pivot head to move air in several directions.
Metal construction and vintage styling set it apart from plastic desk fans, and the size blends into smaller rooms. Controls are a simple dial. Several rows in the spec table, such as noise level and motor speed, show clearly wrong numbers.
Who it's for
People who want a stylish personal fan at a desk, dorm shelf or kitchen counter. Anyone using it outside the U.S., or wanting whole-room cooling, should look at another fan.
Pros and cons
- Five year limited warranty
- U.S. voltage only
- Noise figure unreliable in listing
Performance notes
The pivoting head aims the stream anywhere within its range, and the five blades work with the Vortex Action design to push air forward. Two speeds trade airflow for sound. The low wattage points to a gentle, personal stream.
