Overview
Not a microSD card for phones, this SanDisk Ultra is a full-size SDHC card for cameras and card-slot devices. It stores photos and HD video and reads them back over a UHS-I connection.
Casual photographers get a dependable card for snapshots and standard video. Its speed class is too modest for burst shooting or high bitrate video on newer cameras.
Who it's for
Family cameras, older DSLRs and trail cams suit this card. Burst shooters and Ultra HD video users need a faster speed class.
Pros and cons
- Full-size SD fits most cameras
- Class 10 speed class for HD video
- Light and pocketable
- Too slow for high bitrate video
- Write speed not listed
- Small capacity for video work
Performance notes
Recording reliability depends on the card's sustained write speed, which the listing does not give, so heavy video can drop frames. Reading files to a computer runs at the rated read speed through a compatible reader.
