Overview
The Fluance HFC is a wired center channel speaker with a 5 inch driver, built with wall-mount hardware and finished in black ash. At 16.3 pounds, it's sized as a dedicated home theater center channel rather than a compact soundbar substitute.
As a center channel specifically, this speaker is meant to sit below or above a TV as part of a larger home theater setup, carrying dialogue and on-screen sound rather than serving as a standalone speaker. The wired connectivity and wall-mount option point to a permanent home theater install rather than a portable or Bluetooth setup.
- Center channel speaker type
- 5 inch driver
- Wired connectivity
- Black ash finish, 16.3 lb, wall mount
Who it's for
Suited to home theater builders adding a dedicated center channel to an existing wired receiver system. Not intended for anyone wanting a wireless or standalone speaker, since it's wired and built for a specific role in a multi-speaker setup.
Pros and cons
- Wall-mount hardware included for placement near a TV
- Dedicated center channel for dialogue clarity
- Wired only, no wireless option
- At 16.3 lb, needs a sturdy wall mount point
Performance notes
As a center channel with a single 5 inch driver, it's built to reproduce dialogue and center-image sound rather than handle bass, which a subwoofer or the front speakers in the system would cover instead. The wall-mount hardware lets it sit close to a TV without needing a shelf, though at 16.3 pounds the mounting point needs to be solid.
