Overview
Connecting a home to Verizon FiOS internet, this Verizon gateway uses two frequency bands so email, browsing and streaming can run side by side. It ships with a power adapter, an Ethernet cord and setup instructions.
For FiOS subscribers replacing a lost or older router, it is the provider's own dual-band gateway. Specs such as port count, speed rating and coverage are missing from the listing.
Who it's for
FiOS households that need a compatible gateway get the matching Verizon unit with cables. Other providers' customers should buy a standard router.
Pros and cons
- Made for the FiOS network
- Power adapter included
- Ethernet cord included
- Specs largely missing from listing
- Instructions may be generic
- Speed depends on subscription
Performance notes
Real internet speed is set by your FiOS subscription rather than the gateway. Dual-band operation splits devices across two frequencies, easing congestion. Reach depends on placement, which the listing does not quantify.
