Overview
Printing color reports at high speed, scanning to network folders and faxing all run from this HP PageWide Pro, which uses a page-wide ink head. Phones connect by NFC tap or Wi-Fi Direct without joining the office network.
Top speed and color access controls suit offices that print a lot of color but want to limit who uses it. It is heavy, and listed speeds differ between the bullets and the spec sheet.
Who it's for
Growing offices with heavy color output get speed, security and onsite service. Light users will not use its capacity and may struggle to fit it.
Pros and cons
- Very fast printing
- NFC and Wi-Fi Direct
- Scan to email, folders and cloud
- Color access controls
- Uses ink cartridges
- Speed figures vary in listing
- Single input tray
Performance notes
Speed comes from the page-wide head printing a full line at once rather than sweeping across the page. Cartridge yield and page coverage govern how often supplies change, with high-capacity cartridges stretching intervals.
