Overview
This is a 500 yard spool of 65 pound braided fishing line made from Spectra fiber, sold under the Power brand as a single spool.
Spectra fiber is the material behind most premium braided lines, valued for a thin diameter relative to breaking strength compared with monofilament. At 65 pounds test and 500 yards, this spool suits heavier freshwater and light saltwater applications rather than finesse fishing.
- Spectra fiber braided line
- 500 yard spool length
- 65 pound line rating
- 5.28 ounce spool weight
Who it's for
Anglers who need a heavy, low-stretch braided line for larger fish or line-shy conditions where a thin diameter matters. Not suited to light tackle finesse presentations where 65 lb test would overpower the setup.
Pros and cons
- Spectra fiber construction for low stretch and thin diameter
- 500 yard spool covers multiple respools
- 65 pound test suits heavier fishing applications
- 65 lb test is too heavy for light or finesse tackle
- No stated color or visibility treatment in the listing
Performance notes
Spectra fiber braid carries far less stretch than monofilament, which translates to more direct hooksets and better bite detection at range. At 65 pounds test, the line prioritizes strength and abrasion resistance over the extra stealth of a thinner, lighter test.
