Overview
The Magic Chef MCM1310W is a 1.3 cu ft, 1000-watt countertop microwave with six preset cooking modes, 11 power levels, and a rotating glass turntable, aimed at everyday reheating and defrosting rather than heavy daily cooking.
The wattage claim draws some skepticism: at least one owner who replaced a similarly rated 1000-watt Cuisinart found this unit ran noticeably weaker in practice, so treat the number as a rough guide rather than a guarantee of speed.
- 1.3 cu ft interior capacity
- 1000-watt rated cooking power
- Digital display with easy-touch controls
- Programmable kitchen timer
Who it's for
Works for anyone replacing a dead entry-level microwave who wants straightforward presets rather than a smart display. Less suited to buyers sensitive to operating noise, since several units have also arrived with a broken or wobbly turntable roller guide.
Pros and cons
- Six one-touch presets simplify reheating
- Auto-defrost modes by meat, poultry, fish
- Fits a 9-inch plate on the turntable
- 11 power levels for finer control
- Turntable can wobble or arrive damaged
- Runs noisier than some other microwaves
- Actual heating power may run under rated watts
