Overview
Not a basic date stamp but a wall-mounted electronic unit that prints two lines of custom text, a time stamp and a counting number on documents. A key locking case and a passcode protect its settings.
Print formats are built online and loaded from a flash drive, which avoids fiddly button menus. Its clock adjusts for daylight saving and holds settings through a power cut. The limit is dependence on AC power, with only an optional battery for outages.
Who it's for
Records clerks, mailrooms and accounting desks marking documents with received dates or sequence numbers will use the full feature set. The multiple languages help mixed offices. Sites with no nearby outlet or no computer for the online setup will struggle.
Pros and cons
- Customizable two-line printing
- Programmable sequence number
- USB drive setup
- Clock adjusts for daylight saving
- Needs AC power
- Backup battery sold optionally
- Extra ribbon colors sold separately
Performance notes
A heavy-duty print mechanism strikes the ribbon onto the page for a clear impression. Time comes from a smart clock that corrects for daylight saving, month changes and leap years. Settings stay stored through a power failure, so formats do not need reprogramming.
