Overview
A grain-free dry kibble for small breed adult dogs from Wellness's CORE+ line, made with a turkey and chicken recipe and mixed with freeze-dried pieces in the bag. Suited to owners of small dogs who want a grain-free diet with added freeze-dried meat.
The Kibble+ format combines standard dry kibble with freeze-dried pieces in the same bag, a way of adding extra animal protein without switching to a fully freeze-dried diet. It ships in a 4 lb bag sized for small breeds, and the turkey and chicken recipe keeps the protein sources familiar rather than novel.
- Grain-free small breed kibble
- Kibble plus freeze-dried pieces
- Turkey and chicken recipe
- 4 lb bag
Who it's for
Owners of small breed adult dogs looking for a grain-free kibble with added freeze-dried protein. Not intended for large breed dogs or for dogs needing a limited-ingredient or novel-protein diet, since it combines turkey and chicken.
Pros and cons
- Grain free formula
- Freeze-dried pieces mixed into the kibble
- Sized for small breed adult dogs
- Turkey and chicken recipe
- Not suitable for dogs needing a single novel protein
- 4 lb bag size means more frequent reordering for larger households
Performance notes
The mix of kibble and freeze-dried pieces means each serving includes both a shelf-stable base and a higher-protein freeze-dried component, so texture in the bowl varies piece to piece rather than being uniform.
