More from this brandAll Hawke rifle scopesOverview
A 4-12x40 rimfire riflescope built for .22 WMR, with an illuminated BDC reticle, 11-layer multi-coated optics, and mounting rings included in the bundle.
- 4-12x40 magnification range
- 11-layer multi-coated optics
- Illuminated red/green BDC reticle
- Includes 1-inch mounting rings
Who it's for
Fits .22 WMR rifle owners who want a rimfire-specific scope with parallax adjustment and included rings at a mid-grade price. Less suited to shooters expecting the BDC reticle's 300 yard markings to hold tight groups at that distance with this cartridge.
Pros and cons
- Parallax adjustment sharpens close-range rimfire targets
- Illuminated reticle with 5 brightness levels
- Mounting rings included in the bundle
- BDC reticle markings stretch beyond practical .22 WMR range
- Included rings did not fit a Marlin action
Performance notes
The illuminated glass-etched reticle offers red and green options across 5 brightness levels via a saddle-mounted rheostat, and 1/4 MOA low-profile turrets adjust without snagging gear. The BDC reticle is calibrated for a 40 grain projectile at 2000 fps, though one reviewer found its 300 yard markings exceed practical .22 WMR range.
