Overview
Starting lessons right out of the box is the point of this Donner bundle, which pairs a full size cutaway acoustic with a gig bag, clip-on tuner, capo, strap and spare strings. A spruce top over mahogany gives a warm, balanced sound.
Everything a new player needs arrives together, so there is nothing else to buy before the first lesson. Phosphor bronze strings over a hex core help it hold tune. The warranty period is very short.
Who it's for
Adults and teens starting guitar who want a complete kit. Players needing a pickup for stage use should choose an acoustic-electric.
Pros and cons
- Complete starter bundle
- Full size cutaway body
- Spruce and mahogany tonewoods
- Clip-on tuner included
- Very short warranty
- Full size may be large for kids
Performance notes
A spruce top with X bracing balances volume and warmth, and mahogany adds midrange. The hex core strings and hard saddle help tuning settle quickly. Setup and string height out of the box decide how easy it feels to play.
