Overview
The ZELUS FWV-CA-1 is a 12 lb weight vest built with iron sand fill, SBR padding, and spandex straps for adjustable fit, aimed at runners and bodyweight trainers who want added resistance.
Iron sand fill, rather than solid steel plates, tends to distribute weight in smaller pockets across the vest, which can feel less bulky during movement than plate-style vests. The SBR material lining is the same rubber-foam blend used in wetsuits and knee sleeves, chosen for cushioning against the body.
- 12 lb fixed weight
- Iron sand fill
- SBR padded, spandex straps
- Black colorway
Who it's for
Works for someone adding light resistance to walks, runs, or bodyweight circuits at a fixed 12 lb load. Not the choice for lifters who want to step up in weight over time, since this listing is a single fixed poundage rather than an adjustable range.
Pros and cons
- Spandex straps move with the body
- Sand fill spreads weight across the torso
- SBR padding cushions contact points
- Fixed 12 lb weight cannot be adjusted
- Sand-filled vests can shift fill unevenly with hard use
Performance notes
Sand-filled vests spread load more evenly across the torso than rigid plates, and the spandex strap system is built to move with the body during running or jumping rather than stay rigid like a nylon harness.
