Overview
The Thill AC-SPRING is a 5-pack of assorted spring-style bobbers built from balsa wood and metal components, targeted at bass fishing.
Spring floats use a metal coil to clip onto the line rather than requiring a peg or slip-knot, which makes them faster to attach and adjust. Balsa wood construction keeps the float itself buoyant and light.
- 5-pack, assorted spring floats
- Balsa wood and metal construction
- About 22.68 grams
- Marketed for bass fishing
Who it's for
Bait fishermen targeting bass who want floats they can attach and reposition quickly without re-rigging. Not built for anglers who need heavy-duty floats for large baits or rough water.
Pros and cons
- Spring clip attaches and adjusts without retying
- Balsa construction keeps the float light and buoyant
- 5-pack of assorted floats for varied conditions
- Sized for bass rather than heavier saltwater applications
- Assorted pack means you can't select a specific float color
Performance notes
The spring clip mechanism lets the float grip the line at whatever depth you set, and repositioning it just means squeezing the spring open rather than untying anything. Balsa wood gives the float natural buoyancy at a light overall weight, around 22.68 grams.
