Overview
Not a bus powered splitter, this hub draws from its own 60W adapter and shares ten fast USB ports. A switch and LED on each port let you cut power to one device without unplugging it.
Individual switches make it easy to turn off a charger or a drive, and the separate power supply supports fast charging. The listing does not say how much power each port can supply, so the total budget is shared across ports.
Who it's for
Users who connect many USB devices to a PC or Mac and want to power some of them off. Anyone wanting a pocket sized bus powered hub should look at a smaller model.
Pros and cons
- Ten ports in one hub
- Per port switches and LEDs
- Power adapter included
- Light ABS body
- Needs a wall socket
- Per port current not listed
- Uplink cable not mentioned
Performance notes
The wall adapter feeds a shared power budget, so fast charging and several drives can run together instead of drawing from the computer port. Data runs at the shared USB speed, and heavy simultaneous transfers split the available bandwidth.
