More from this brandAll Waterdrop refrigerator water filtersOverview
A 3-pack of Waterdrop refrigerator water filters built for GE's MSWF cartridge, used in GE side-by-side and French-door refrigerators, not the similarly named GSWF filter. Filtration is NSF 42 and NSF 372 certified using coconut shell carbon block media.
Waterdrop is explicit in its own listing that this replaces MSWF specifically, distinct from the similarly numbered GSWF filter, which matters because installing the wrong one won't seat correctly. Buying as a 3-pack is the main value case here, covering roughly a year and a half of replacement cycles at once compared to single OEM cartridges.
- Coconut shell carbon block media
- Fits GE side-by-side and French-door models
- 6-month or 300-gallon rated life
- Pack of 3 cartridges
Who it's for
Fits GE MSWF-compatible fridge owners who want to stock up on filters at once rather than reorder every six months. Not the right filter for anyone whose fridge takes the GSWF cartridge, since Waterdrop's own listing warns the two are not interchangeable.
Pros and cons
- 3-pack covers about a year and a half of replacements
- Installs in under a minute, no tools
- NSF 42 and 372 certified filtration
- Includes install-date tracking stickers
- Not compatible with GE's GSWF filter, MSWF only
- One reviewer felt the change-indicator light triggers early
Performance notes
Each cartridge uses a coconut shell carbon block rated to reduce chlorine, taste, odor and suspended particles while retaining beneficial minerals, certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and 372. Waterdrop ships install-date stickers with each filter so households can track the roughly 6-month or 300-gallon replacement window without guesswork.
