Overview
Wrap-around MOLLE webbing lets this Highland Tactical Major pack grow with extra pouches. Padded shoulder straps, a back panel, a sternum strap and a waist strap carry the load in a polyester soft shell.
Compartments and pockets make gear easy to sort, and the hydration compatibility suits hikes. The hook and loop area takes patches. The material is heavyweight polyester that must be hand washed.
Who it's for
School, travel and work use, with a laptop, are the main settings. Anyone wanting a larger expedition pack or a waterproof shell should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- MOLLE webbing for add-on pouches
- Padded straps and back panel
- Sternum and waist straps
- Heavyweight polyester shell
- Hand wash only
- Waterproofing not listed
- Hydration bladder not included
Performance notes
Padded straps and a mesh back panel spread weight and let air move, and the sternum and waist straps move load toward the hips. MOLLE webbing sets how many pouches can be added.
