Overview
A digital pet thermometer from iProven with a flexible tip, built for taking a dog or cat's temperature in about 20 seconds, running on a single included LR41 battery.
The flexible tip is meant to make insertion more comfortable for the animal than a rigid probe, and the fast 20 second read time matters for pets that will not hold still. The listing's stated range of 101 to 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit reads as the band the device is calibrated around for fever flagging, so check the manual for its full measurement range before relying on it outside that window.
- Digital display, 20 second reading
- Flexible, waterproof tip
- Single LR41 battery included
- #1 in Dog Thermometers on Amazon
Who it's for
Owners who want a quick, at-home way to check for fever in a dog or cat, including whelping use around birth. Less useful if you need a thermometer with a wide general purpose measurement range.
Pros and cons
- 20 second reading time
- Flexible tip designed for comfort
- Battery included, ready to use out of the box
- Hand wash only, cannot be submerged for cleaning
- Stated temperature range is narrow, check the manual for full range before use outside fever detection
Performance notes
A single LR41 battery is included, and the unit is hand wash only, so it should be wiped clean rather than run under a tap or submerged.
