Overview
Amazon Basics makes this cartridge as a swap for the original in compatible refrigerators. Its lead-free housing holds media that cuts chlorine along with the flavor it causes.
Three filters in a box means fewer reorders, and the certifications give an independent check on claims. The limitation is information, since the listing gives few specifics on capacity or replacement timing.
Who it's for
Owners of fridges that take the MWF cartridge who replace on a routine schedule are the match. Anyone unsure of the type should check the manual.
Pros and cons
- Three filters per pack
- Tested to NSF and ANSI
- Reduces chlorine taste and odor
- Capacity not listed
- No replacement interval listed
- Fits MWF style only
Performance notes
Water passes through the cartridge media on its way to the dispenser. Results fade as the media is used up, so swapping on schedule matters more than the brand.
