Overview
Crystala Filters sells this plastic-bodied cartridge as an alternative to the GE XWF filter. It is listed for NSF and for reducing odor in the water.
The pack of three gives spares for repeated changes, and the title spells out the XWF versus XWFE difference. The limitation is limited detail on filtration claims and fit beyond the single model named.
Who it's for
Owners of fridges that take the XWF style, and who change filters on schedule, will use all three. Anyone with an XWFE housing should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Three cartridges per pack
- Clear XWF versus XWFE labeling
- Limited filtration details
- Only one fridge model named
- Third-party, not GE branded
Performance notes
Water passes through the cartridge media, which reduces odor, and effect declines as the media is used. Replace the filter on the schedule in your fridge manual.
