Overview
This is an Aqua Crest UKF8001 refrigerator water filter, sold as a pack of 3, built to replace the Whirlpool UKF8001 and EveryDrop Filter 4 cartridges used in many Whirlpool and Maytag refrigerators.
The filter uses a coconut shell carbon block rather than the granular carbon common in cheaper aftermarket cartridges, which owners tie to steady performance over repeated purchases rather than a single good batch. Aqua Crest markets it for up to 6 months or 300 gallons, in line with the original Whirlpool filter's service life.
- Coconut shell carbon block filtration
- NSF 42 and 372 certified, BPA free housing
- Rated up to 6 months or 300 gallons
- Includes install date reminder stickers
Who it's for
This fits Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid refrigerators built around the UKF8001 or EveryDrop Filter 4 cartridge, including the long compatibility list of part numbers in the listing. Confirm your existing filter's part number before ordering.
Pros and cons
- Filter life may run shorter than the original's rating
Performance notes
Filter life in practice runs close to but slightly under the original's rated 92 days for some owners, with one running theirs alongside an external filter and swapping both every 60 days given local water quality. The coconut shell carbon block is the stated basis for the filtration claims, though buyers mostly judge it on taste and pressure rather than lab results.
