Overview
The Booms BFFAPB146K10 is a 55 inch nylon rod case weighing 15.2 ounces, built to store fishing rods and reels together in a single carried case.
A soft nylon case at 55 inches, close to 4.6 feet, fits rods around that length once broken down or for shorter one piece rods, and carrying rod and reel together in one case saves packing a separate reel bag. Nylon construction favors light weight and packability over the rigidity of a hard case.
- 55 inch nylon rod case
- 15.2 oz weight
- Holds rod and reel together
- Soft carry case design
Who it's for
Fits anglers who want a light, packable way to transport a rod and reel together, for travel or storage between trips. Not the choice for anglers who need hard shell protection against crushing or rough handling in transit.
Pros and cons
- Light at 15.2 ounces for easy carrying
- Holds rod and reel together in one case
- 55 inch length fits many rod sizes
- Soft nylon offers less impact protection than a hard case
- Fixed 55 inch length limits longer rods
- Not built for rough transit or checked baggage
Performance notes
Soft nylon construction keeps the case light at 15.2 ounces and lets it flex into tight storage spaces, unlike a rigid tube case. The 55 inch length accommodates rods of that length or shorter, and the case is built to hold both rod and reel together rather than the rod alone.
