Overview
A living room or home theater with room for a slim tower is where this Reference Premiere speaker fits. It combines a hybrid Tractrix horn tweeter with two Cerametallic woofers in a tall ebony cabinet.
The tweeter horn aims for efficient, detailed treble and the two woofers add bass depth for movies and music. The item type field mentions a full home theater system, but the title says each, so only one speaker comes in the box.
Who it's for
Owners building a home theater or stereo system around Klipsch towers who plan to buy more than one. Anyone wanting a single box with every speaker, or a small bookshelf pair, should choose another product.
Pros and cons
- Horn loaded tweeter
- High maximum power rating
- Sold as one speaker
- Warranty details not stated
- Sensitivity not listed
Performance notes
The horn loads the tweeter so it gets more output from less power, and the pair of drivers below it share the bass duties. Floor placement and distance from walls shape the bass, so a tall tower reacts strongly to its position.
