Overview
Connecting a transceiver to an SWR meter or dummy load takes a short coaxial jumper like this one, which ends in PL259 UHF male plugs and uses RG58 cable.
Superbat covers the usual ham and CB hookups, from base stations to mobile radio setups, in a short jumper that is flexible and corrosion resistant. The listing gives no impedance, no connector plating and no shielding detail.
Who it's for
Ham and CB operators who need a short jumper for tests or station wiring suit this lead. Home theater owners and TV viewers should look at an F-type or HDMI cable instead.
Pros and cons
- Short jumper for test setups
- Flexible, corrosion resistant
- Indoor and outdoor use listed
- Impedance not listed
- Shielding detail missing
- Not for TV or HDMI use
Performance notes
Loss in coaxial jumpers is small at short lengths, so the connectors and fit at the radio matter more. RG58 is thin and flexible, which suits bench work, but longer runs add loss at higher frequencies. The listing quotes one frequency value and no loss figure.
