Overview
A non-elastic yoga mat strap from Tumaz made of a cotton-polyester blend, available in 6, 8, and 10 foot lengths with welded D-ring buckles. Built to carry a mat rather than double as a stretching tool, with a rated breaking strength of 2,379 lbs.
One reviewer has used an earlier version since 2019 and reports it's still holding up, which speaks to the D-ring hardware as much as the fabric itself.
- Available in 6, 8, and 10 foot lengths
- 2,379 lb rated breaking strength
- 4mm welded D-ring buckles
- Cotton-polyester blend, machine washable
Who it's for
Works well for anyone carrying a thick or heavy mat, including studio-grade rubber mats, and for parents needing a durable strap for a school-required mat. Less relevant to anyone who wants a stretching strap first and a carrier second, since this is built non-elastic for carrying rather than assisted stretching.
Pros and cons
- Holds heavy mats like Manduka Pro without slipping
- Welded D-ring buckles reported to last years
- Soft cotton-blend texture is gentler on the shoulder
- Simple cinch design, no fussy latches
- Non-elastic, not meant for assisted stretching poses
- Longer 10ft length may be more strap than a standard mat needs
