Overview
Not a toy walkie-talkie set, these DEWALT FRS radios are sealed against dust and water and built to survive drops on a jobsite. They cover large buildings across many floors and run a full shift with hands-free VOX.
Weatherproof housings and long battery life suit busy crews spread across a site. Range is stated in floor area and floors, so open-country distance is harder to judge.
Who it's for
Construction crews, warehouses and event staff across large buildings. Long-distance outdoor users may need more power.
Pros and cons
- Dust and waterproof
- Long battery life
- Dual dock charger included
- FRS power only
- Charger contents differ between listing fields
Performance notes
Low FRS power reaches through floors and walls by working close in, which is why range is quoted in floor area. Privacy codes filter out other users on the same channel, and auto-squelch cuts noise between calls.
