Overview
A full-size USB-A plug inside a light aluminum shell carries this Centon drive's data, with a cap that snaps onto the back while you work so it does not get lost. It runs at full speed in newer USB ports and still works in older ones.
Large capacity in a simple metal stick suits backups and moving big folders between work and home. Read and write speeds are not clearly stated, and USB-C laptops need an adapter.
Who it's for
Suited to students, office workers and families moving documents, photos and videos between computers. Phone users wanting direct transfers need a dual-connector drive.
Pros and cons
- Large capacity for a stick
- Cap stores on the back
- Works in older USB ports
- Long manufacturer warranty
- Exact speeds not clearly listed
- USB-A only, adapter for USB-C
- No encryption mentioned
Performance notes
Speed depends on the port: a newer USB port lets it run at its full interface speed, while an older port drops it to legacy rates. The aluminum casing and cap protect the connector between uses.
