Overview
A movie fan who wants a full surround setup from one box gets a bar, a wireless subwoofer and rear speakers, with upward-firing drivers adding Dolby Atmos height. Chromecast built-in streams music from phone apps over WiFi.
Real rear channels and height speakers deliver true surround from one purchase, and the cables are included for plug-and-play setup. How the rear speakers connect is not explained, so plan where their cables will run.
Who it's for
Suited to living rooms where rear speakers can stand behind the couch. Small rooms and desks have no space for the full set.
Pros and cons
- True rear surround speakers
- Upward-firing speakers for height
- Chromecast built-in streaming
- Several TV input options
- Rear speaker connection not explained
- Subwoofer needs floor space
- Short one-year warranty
Performance notes
Height effects rely on the two upward-firing speakers deflecting sound off the ceiling, so ceiling height and material matter. A separate center channel focuses dialogue, while the wireless subwoofer can be placed where bass sounds most even in the room.
