Overview
Logitech designed the Rally Plus for mid to large meeting rooms, pairing a high resolution optical zoom camera with room audio over a USB connection. This listing includes a white microphone pod.
Optical zoom lets the camera frame people at the far end of a long table without the softening of digital zoom. The listing is nearly empty, with no list of speakers, pods, hubs or cables in the package.
Who it's for
Companies standardising on Logitech room systems who can confirm contents with their reseller. Small teams with a single huddle space are better served by an all in one bar.
Pros and cons
- Optical zoom for long rooms
- High resolution video
- USB connection to a room computer
- Mic pod in the white finish
- Package contents barely listed
- Heavy, fixed installation system
- Room size support not stated
Performance notes
Optical zoom moves lens elements to magnify, so faces at the back of a room stay sharp where digital zoom would blur. Voice capture depends on mic pod placement along the table. The system runs through the room computer's conferencing software over USB.
