Overview
A hotel room or a campsite is where this small Vangoa banjo works best, with a mahogany body in a painted brown finish. The title mentions both open back and closed back versions in a beginner kit.
The compact size and extras like a tuner, strap and pickup make it ready for travel. It is a mini instrument, so it will not feel like a full size banjo. The listing does not explain which back style ships.
Who it's for
Aimed at a newcomer or a commuter who wants a light banjo to carry and tune with a clip tuner and a kit of parts. Players wanting a full size neck should choose a standard banjo.
Pros and cons
- Kit with tuner and strap
- Not a full size banjo
- Back style unclear
Performance notes
Mahogany gives a warm tone, and the smaller body adds a punchy, clear and cheerful sound. Bronze strings and the Remo head carry the pluck, and the kit tools handle tuning and bracket adjustments.
