Overview
The Clear Creek rod and reel case is a portable travel case sized for a two piece rod, with a 57.25 inch internal length and a black finish.
That internal length fits rods built as two sections, commonly a 9 foot fly rod broken into two pieces, though anglers running three or four piece rods should measure their own sections first since this case is not built for shorter, multi piece breakdowns. It is sold as a rod and reel case, meant to carry the reel alongside the rod rather than the rod alone.
- 57.25 inch internal length
- Built for two piece rod sections
- Black finish
- Combined rod and reel storage
Who it's for
Fly anglers traveling with a two piece 9 foot rod who want one case for both rod and reel rather than separate carriers.
Pros and cons
- Sized for two piece 9 foot fly rods
- Carries rod and reel together in one case
- Not sized for three or four piece breakdown rods
- No padding or material details given beyond the case itself
Performance notes
The 57.25 inch internal length is the key number here: it needs to clear the longest section of a two piece rod plus its ferrule, so measure your rod's longest section before ordering rather than going by overall rod length alone.
