Overview
LapGear gives this lap desk a laminated PVC top with a wrist rest, a precision-tracking mouse pad and a phone slot built into one surface. Dual cushions rest on the lap, and a reinforced handle carries it.
Built-in mouse space removes the need for a separate pad, and the wide rest supports the wrists during longer typing. The extra width takes more lap than a basic desk. No cleaning steps are given for the laminate.
Who it's for
Remote workers and students who use a mouse on the sofa will make full use of the pad and rest. The phone slot helps with calls and messages. Those who prefer a trackpad only, or need small size, should consider simpler desks.
Pros and cons
- Integrated mouse pad
- Wide cushioned wrist rest
- Dual microbead cushions
- Reinforced carry handle
- Wide and fairly large
- Care instructions not provided
- Short workmanship warranty
Performance notes
A laminated surface gives a smooth base for the laptop and a precision-tracking pad for a mouse. Microbead cushions spread the load across the legs. The wrist rest supports hands while the mouse pad holds pointer work in the same plane as the keyboard.
