Overview
LapGear builds The Original from high impact polystyrene with a textured top and a microbead cushion underneath. A device ledge, a built-in pencil tray and a carry handle are included.
A larger laptop limit and a low weight make it useful for a bigger screen without a heavy board. No tilt adjustment is listed, and the warranty is not stated.
Who it's for
Homework, notes and typing on a lap suit the flat top and the ledge. Buyers who want storage compartments or tilt should look at other styles.
Pros and cons
- Fits larger laptops up to the stated size
- Light weight for a big surface
- Built-in pencil tray and ledge
- No tilt adjustment listed
- Warranty not stated
- Care instructions not given
Performance notes
The microbead cushion spreads weight over the legs and the rigid textured top provides a level base. A ledge at the edge stops a device from sliding, and the pencil tray holds small items so they stay off the work area.
