Overview
The Marathon ST083021 is a black stopwatch weighing about 2 ounces, built as a dedicated timing tool for coaches, teachers, and athletes rather than a multi-function watch.
A stopwatch like this earns its place on a coach's clipboard or in a classroom because it does one job without the menu digging a smartwatch requires: press start, press stop, read the split. Marathon builds basic timing instruments, and this model keeps to that single purpose rather than adding fitness features.
- Weighs 2.08 ounces
- Black finish
- Dedicated stopwatch function
- Model ST083021
Who it's for
Works for coaches, referees, teachers running timed drills, or anyone who wants a dedicated handheld timer instead of a phone app. Not a fitness tracker and not built for GPS or heart rate use.
Pros and cons
- Lightweight at about 2 ounces
- Dedicated single purpose timer
- No app or pairing needed
- No GPS or fitness tracking functions
- Basic feature set compared to smartwatches
Performance notes
As a dedicated stopwatch rather than a smartwatch, it should power on and start timing without app loading or Bluetooth pairing, which is the main advantage of a single purpose timer over a phone based one.
