CORE Large Multi Room Cabin Tent

Overview

The Core 40082 is a straight-wall cabin tent measuring 16 by 11 feet with an 86 inch center height, built for family and group car camping rather than backpacking, with a removable divider for two rooms.

This is a cabin-style tent, not a dome, so the near-vertical walls are the real selling point: full standing headroom across most of the floor instead of a shrinking dome ceiling. The included room divider turns one large shell into two private spaces, which suits families or two couples sharing a site more than a solo camper.

• 16 x 11 ft floor, 86 inch center height
• H20 Block 1200mm coated fabric
• Removable room divider
• Storage pockets built into the walls

Who it's for

Families or groups car camping who want one large base tent with separated sleeping areas fits this well. Backpackers or anyone needing a packable, lightweight shelter should look elsewhere, since this is a heavy, vehicle-transported tent.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Core rates the floor to sleep up to 12 without gear, though realistically it fits four queen air beds or a more comfortable 6 people once gear is stored inside. Weather protection comes from H20 Block coated 1200mm fabric, a fully taped rainfly, sealed seams, and zippered mesh windows, backed by steel stakes and guylines for wind stability.
