ATN BinoX 4K 4-16X Smart Rangefinder Binoculars

Overview

The ATN BinoX 4K is a digital day and night binocular with a built in laser rangefinder, smooth 4 to 16x zoom, and WiFi for streaming or transferring recorded video. Two separately adjustable eyepieces put day vision on the right side and IR night vision plus the laser on the left.

Night vision performance drops off noticeably past 100 yards since the built in illuminator has to carry the image sensor on its own.

• 4 to 16x smooth zoom
• Built in laser rangefinder
• Day and night digital viewing modes
• 18+ hour battery life

Who it's for

Suits hunters and outdoor observers who want rangefinding, recording, and night vision combined in one device and who understand the image will read as digital footage rather than optical glass. Less suited to anyone who wants traditional binocular sharpness or reliable night vision beyond 100 yards.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The 4 to 16x zoom stays sharp through the midrange but pixelates noticeably at full 16x on distant targets, and the laser rangefinder measures distance with a single button press. Night vision performs well under 50 yards, is average out to 100 yards, and turns grainy beyond that because the built in illuminator cannot carry the image sensor at longer distances. Setup can be rocky: several buyers describe firmware update failures and charging that stretched into hours before the unit would power on properly.
