Overview
Jackson builds the Mystique as a light support skate for beginning lessons, with an all purpose chrome blade screwed on. Extra ankle padding and a foam backed tongue cushion new skaters, and the bundle adds Guardog guards for walking off the ice.
Guards in the box and a comfortable padded boot make it a full starter package. Light support means it will be outgrown once jumps begin, and sizing needs the brand's guide.
Who it's for
New skaters of any age taking first lessons get comfort and blade protection. Skaters past the basics should move to a higher support boot.
Pros and cons
- Extra ankle padding
- Blade comes mounted
- Upgraded lace hooks
- Light support only
- Sizing guide required
- Materials not fully listed
Performance notes
Light support boots flex easily, which helps beginners balance but gives little help on landings. The all purpose blade suits stroking and basic turns. Guards protect the edge when walking, which preserves sharpening.
