A tiny keychain folder for opening boxes, cutting tape and scraping, with a liner lock and aluminum handle. The short blade limits it to light tasks, and the listing gives two different weights.

Overview
Opening packages, snipping cord and scraping labels are the jobs for the Gerber Key Note, a keychain sized folding knife with a short plain edge blade. It opens from a nail nick or starter tab and locks with a liner lock.
The small size means it can live on a key ring and be on hand all day. The short blade cannot handle food prep, heavy cutting or camp chores beyond the basics.
Who it's for
Office workers, commuters and tradespeople who open boxes and cut cord through the day will barely notice it on their keys. Campers and hunters needing a working blade should carry something larger.
Pros and cons
- Keychain size for constant carry
- Liner lock holds the blade open
- Removable keychain and pocket clip
- Opens with nail nick or tab
- Very short blade
- Weight listed inconsistently
- Hand wash only
Performance notes
Cutting is limited by the short blade, which gives control on tape and cardboard but little reach. The liner lock holds the blade open under light pressure. Opening relies on the nail nick or the starter tab rather than a thumb stud.
