Overview
Hung from an exterior wall, the Kicker KB6B pair relies on, a Quick Mounting System and a plastic weatherproof enclosure. Each unit carries a woofer and a horn tweeter for full range sound.
Weather resistance and quick mounting are the reason to choose them for a covered outdoor area such as the eaves, a deck or a boat. The limit is that the listing is confusing about power and connection, and it does not state a weather rating.
Who it's for
Homeowners and boat or RV owners who need outdoor sound with a simple mount will use the wall brackets. Anyone expecting a plug-in Bluetooth speaker, or a clear rating against submersion, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Weatherproof build for outdoor use
- Quick Mounting System
- Horn tweeter for projection
- Sold as a pair
- Connection type listing is unclear
- Weather rating level not listed
- Heavy plastic bracket size not given
Performance notes
A horn tweeter pushes highs outward, which suits open outdoor spaces where sound must carry. The woofer handles bass, but outdoor areas lack walls to reinforce low frequencies. Power and connection setup drive the real result more than the maximum rating.
