Overview
A rechargeable electronic training collar sized for small breed dogs, pairing a waterproof receiver with a water resistant handheld remote. The strap is Biothane rather than fabric, and the whole set weighs about 4 ounces on the dog.
Dogtra builds this specifically around small dogs rather than scaling down a large breed collar, which shows in the 4 ounce receiver weight and the narrow Biothane strap. Note the split spec: the collar receiver is rated waterproof, but the remote itself is only water resistant, so it should not be submerged.
- Waterproof e-collar receiver
- Water resistant handheld remote
- Biothane strap with buckle closure
- Built for all small breed sizes
Who it's for
Owners of small or toy breed dogs who want remote correction for basic obedience or recall work. Not aimed at multi dog households needing to run several collars off one remote, since the listing covers a single receiver set.
Pros and cons
- Waterproof receiver rated for wet conditions
- Lightweight at 4 ounces for small dogs
- Biothane strap wipes clean easily
- Backed by a 1 year manufacturer warranty
- Remote is water resistant only, not waterproof
- Sized for small breeds, not suited to larger dogs
Performance notes
The receiver carries a waterproof rating so it can handle wet grass, rain, or a dog that swims, while the remote is only water resistant and should be kept dry. The Biothane strap with a buckle closure is a low maintenance material that wipes clean and does not absorb odor the way nylon webbing can.
