Overview
A DSP sound chip and a touch interface run this TIMMKOO player, which plays local music and video files through Bluetooth headphones, wired earbuds or its own speaker. Preloaded apps can be disabled, but no new apps install.
A phone-free player with a large screen and long music battery suits gyms, kids and offline listeners. Streaming apps cannot be added, so all music has to be copied onto it.
Who it's for
Workouts, commutes and kids who should not have a smartphone suit this player. Streaming-only listeners will find no way to install their apps.
Pros and cons
- Long music playback per charge
- Expandable SD card storage
- Bluetooth to headphones and car stereo
- Built-in speaker and recorder
- Cannot install or download apps
- Bluetooth codecs not listed
- No streaming service support
Performance notes
Battery life depends on whether the screen is on, so music lasts far longer than video. The DSP processing and EQ presets shape the sound, and Bluetooth range governs how far the phone-free player can be from headphones.
