Overview
Setting up wickets and stakes on a lawn turns a backyard into a croquet course with this ApudArmis set. It is built for six players, with wooden mallets, balls and a bag for carrying and storage.
A full six player kit suits family gatherings and parties, and the wooden build gives the set a traditional feel. The limitation is thin detail, as ball and mallet counts, wicket size and weight are missing and the age guidance is for older players.
Who it's for
Garden parties, family reunions and picnics with teens and adults. Families with small children, who need smaller mallets, should look for a junior set.
Pros and cons
- Full six player set
- Wickets, stakes and bag included
- Classic lawn game
- Ball and mallet counts not given
- Recommended for ages sixteen and up
- Weight and bag size unstated
Performance notes
Mallet length sets how far a player has to bend and how much swing power they have, so a standard length suits adults. The wickets and stakes define the course, and a level lawn makes play more predictable. Wooden mallets can chip with heavy use on hard ground.
