Overview
A renter who wants filtered tap water without plumbing work gets a plastic housing that attaches to the end of the faucet and passes water through an activated carbon cartridge. Only the tap it is mounted on is filtered.
Mounting on the spout means no cabinet work, and the gallon rating gives a clear sense of how often to replace the cartridge. The listing does not name faucet types it fits or the contaminants it reduces.
Who it's for
A renter or apartment cook who wants filtered water at one sink gets the intended use here. Buyers who need every tap treated, or who want a listed contaminant reduction, should look at other filters.
Pros and cons
- Mounts on the faucet
- Activated carbon filtration
- Clear gallon rating
- Plastic housing is light
- Faucet types not listed
- No contaminant claims given
- Filters one tap only
Performance notes
Water passes through carbon media as it flows from the spout, so contact time shrinks as flow increases. Once the gallon rating is used up, taste and odor reduction fall off, and no change reminder is described.
