Overview

Trijicon Credo - a black rifle scope.

Multiple buyers describe a 34mm tube with a noticeably wider field of view than 1 inch or 30mm scopes, a mil christmas-tree reticle, and a zero stop that resets cleanly after zeroing. One reviewer specifically called Trijicon to confirm their unit's serial number wasn't a counterfeit, worth knowing given how often the brand gets copied.

34mm main tube for a wide field of view
First focal plane mil christmas-tree reticle
Reliable zero stop after resetting
Serialized units Trijicon can check by phone to confirm authenticity

Who it's for

AR-platform and mid-range bolt-action shooters looking for a first-focal-plane 34mm scope will get the most value here, provided they don't mind the added weight for glass quality. Anyone expecting daylight-bright illumination should look elsewhere, per one reviewer's experience.

Pros and cons

Cons

On the heavy side, noted by more than one reviewer
Illumination not bright enough for full daylight per one reviewer
First-focal-plane reticle is thin and hard to see at low magnification

Performance notes

The first-focal-plane design keeps the mil christmas-tree reticle proportional to the target at any magnification, though that means the reticle gets thin and harder to see at the low end of the zoom range.
