Overview
A 25 pound bag of pelleted pine cat litter made in the USA, sold as a non-clumping, low dust option meant to be used with a sifting litter box rather than scooped like clay litter.
Pine pellet litters work on a different mechanism than clay: the pellets break down as they absorb moisture and are sifted out rather than clumped and scooped, so the litter box setup matters here. At a 3.8 rating this sits lower than most litters in the catalog, worth weighing against clumping alternatives.
- 100% pine pellets
- Non-clumping, low dust, low tracking
- 25 lb bag
- Made in USA
Who it's for
Cat owners already using or willing to switch to a sifting litter box system, and those wanting a lower dust, wood based litter. Not a fit for anyone wanting a standard scoop and clump routine.
Pros and cons
- Made in the USA
- Low dust compared to clay litters
- 25 pound bag size for extended use
- Requires a sifting litter box to work as intended
- Lower average rating (3.8) than typical clumping litters
- Non-clumping means a different cleaning routine to learn
Performance notes
Pine pellets absorb moisture and gradually break down into sawdust, which then falls through a sifting tray while intact pellets stay on top, so odor control depends on regular sifting rather than clumping and removing waste.
