Overview
Monster Jam's Megalodon Storm is a shark-themed RC with official BKT tires and a water-resistant body that lets it go from land to water. A 2.4GHz remote steers it forward, in reverse and around turns.
An out-of-range sensor that beeps and a frequency system that allows several trucks to race make it a good group toy. The weak spot is the power wording, which mentions both AAA cells and USB charging.
Who it's for
Kids in the listed age range who play outside on grass, snow or shallow water, with friends who each have a truck. Buyers expecting submarine-style diving should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Official BKT tires
- Several trucks can race together
- USB rechargeable per description
- Battery needs described two ways
- Water-resistant, not submersible
- Range limited to the stated distance
Performance notes
Light tires help the truck cross shallow water and rough ground. The 2.4GHz link allows several vehicles to share a space without crossing signals, and the controller beeps when the truck drifts out of range.
