More from this brandAll Broan-NuTone range hoodsOverview
No ductwork required is the point of the Broan-NuTone BUEZ124WW, a 24-inch under-cabinet range hood with a 2-speed fan, incandescent lighting and a replaceable charcoal filter.
Because it's non-vented, it relies on a replaceable charcoal filter rather than an exhaust duct, which is the tradeoff to understand going in: it manages smoke and steam rather than removing it from the house entirely.
- 24-inch ductless under-cabinet design
- 2 fan speeds with separate light switch
- Replaceable charcoal filter
- EZ1 two-bracket install system
Who it's for
Works well for kitchens without existing ductwork that need a straightforward fan-and-light unit over the stove, especially as a replacement for an old hood. Less suited to anyone wanting strong exhaust power that actually removes smoke and odor from the kitchen, since a ductless filter unit can't do that.
Pros and cons
- Installs without existing ductwork
- Two-bracket system makes solo installation manageable
- Replaces old plug-in hoods cleanly
- Suction is light, not strong venting power
- No light bulb cover included
- Bulb sold separately
Performance notes
Two fan speeds and a separate light switch let you run just the light or add airflow as needed, with the incandescent bulb providing up to 75 watts of illumination.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Broan-NuTone BUEZ124WW vent outside?
No, it's a non-ducted design that filters air through a replaceable charcoal filter rather than exhausting it through ductwork.
Does it include a light bulb and cover?
The bulb is sold separately, and at least one reviewer noted no light cover was included, leaving the bulb exposed under a mesh grille.
