Overview
The Tigofly MT009UV pack holds 14 pieces of polyester fly tying fiber, each about 13 inches (33cm) long, marketed toward salmon fly patterns. It is a tying material, not a finished lure.
The UV naming points to a UV-reactive fiber finish, common in synthetic streamer materials used to add flash underwater. At 2 ounces total across 14 pieces, this is a modest supply meant for tying several flies rather than commercial-scale use.
- Polyester fiber material
- About 13 inch (33cm) strands
- 14 pieces per pack
- Aimed at salmon patterns
Who it's for
Suits fly tyers building salmon or steelhead streamer patterns who want synthetic UV fiber. Not useful for anglers who do not tie their own flies.
Pros and cons
- UV-reactive synthetic fiber
- 13 inch strands give room to work with
- 14 pieces per pack
- Small total quantity (2 ounces) for heavy tying use
- Synthetic material only, no natural fiber option in this listing
Performance notes
Polyester fiber holds color and UV treatment more consistently than natural hair, and the 13 inch strand length gives tyers enough material to work bulkier streamer heads or wings. Fourteen pieces at 2 ounces total suits a season of tying rather than heavy production use.
