Overview
The Amazon DS-WSTAMZ006 is a wood chisel listed at 1.81 kilograms, about 4 pounds, sold as a single unit under Amazon's own tools line.
A single chisel weighing close to 4 pounds is unusually heavy for a hand chisel, which typically weighs a few ounces to about a pound depending on blade width, so this figure may include packaging or a storage case rather than the tool alone. The listing does not break down blade width, steel type or handle material, so confirm those details before buying if precision matters for your work.

- 1.81 kilogram listed weight
- Sold as a single piece
- Amazon branded tool
Who it's for
Buyers looking for a basic wood chisel from Amazon's own tools range for general woodworking tasks. Less useful for buyers who need a specific blade width or a matched chisel set.
Pros and cons
- Sold as a single, straightforward unit
- Part of Amazon's own tools line
- Blade width and steel type not specified
- Listed weight seems high for a single chisel, likely including packaging
Performance notes
With no blade width, steel grade or handle material listed, the chisel's cutting performance cannot be assessed from the available data. The 1.81 kilogram weight figure is notably high for a single hand chisel and likely reflects packaging as much as the tool itself.
