Overview
Wear-resistant silicone buttons with a backlight replace the key for daily entry on this Schlage deadbolt, and a keyed cylinder stays as backup. It suits front, back and garage entry doors as well as home offices.
Simple push-button entry with a familiar keyed backup covers what most doors need, with no phone required at the door. Details such as how many codes it holds and what powers it are missing from the listing.
Who it's for
Families who are tired of hiding keys, and owners who want a code on the garage entry door. Smart home users wanting app control should confirm the connectivity claims first, since the listing is unclear.
Pros and cons
- Backlit buttons for night use
- Rubber buttons resist wear
- Keyed backup cylinder
- Long mechanical warranty
- Code capacity not listed
- Connectivity claims unclear in listing
- Electronics warranty shorter than mechanical
Performance notes
Daily use depends on the rubber buttons, which are built to resist wear, and the backlight makes codes easy to enter in the dark. The keyed cylinder remains available if the electronics stop responding.
